About Pack 118

Scouting is a world-wide activity, and "Cub Scouts" refers to the entry level program for boys in the first to fifth grades (through age 10).

Pack 118 is chartered by the Furnace Woods School PTA, and the Pack serves Cortlandt Manor, NY and surrounding areas. There are over 2 million Cub Scouts in the U.S. today! Our Pack typically has about fifty (50) scouts, led by approximately eighteen (18) BSA-trained adults who oversee the activities in six to eight Dens. Our leaders are all volunteers, and all have young family members in the Pack.

Cub Scouting is a character-building experience that embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perserverance, positive attitute, resourcefulness, respect and responsibility: the twelve core values of Scouting. We teach these values through Scouting activities that range from Den meetings and outings to community service projects in our area, and we have fun doing it! Scouting is a family activity, and we encourage participation by family members as well.
